Joshua is a member of our Litigation/Arbitration, Labour/Industrial Relations and Energy/Natural Resources Practice Groups
He is an experienced legal practitioner with interests in international law, energy and natural resources law, entertainment law, intellectual property law, industrial/labour/employment law, arbitration, and general corporate practice.
He is keen on dispute avoidance and resolution of disputes through alternative modes.

Notable achievements

• Part of the team that successfully prosecuted a suit on behalf of an investment firm for breach of contract and obtained judgment in the sum of N236Million.
• Represented a shipping company in the recovery of vessels wrongly seized by a government agency.
• Part of the team that successfully defended a suit against a telecommunication giant involving a claim of N1Billion.
• Part of the team that successfully defended Access Bank in a suit involving N100Million claim.
• Part of the team currently representing Total Energies in a N1Billion suit filed against it by a host community in Rivers State, owing to oil spill that occurred in 2018.
• Part of the team that successfully brokered a Multimillion Naira Recording and Artiste management deal for a Nigerian Artiste with a publishing company and facilitated the transfer and sale of a masters by a Nigerian music producer to a top Nigerian Artiste for literary works that formed part of the catalogue of the artiste.
• Part of the team currently representing SPDC, Indorama Eleme Petrochemical and Indorama Eleme Fertilizer Limited, NLNG, Julius Berger Plc and Access Bank at various courts in Nigeria.

Personal interests

Joshua enjoys watching and playing basketball & American football. He loves to keep up with international happenings. Joshua is also interested and actively participates in causes that support the spouses and offspring of military veterans in and across Africa.
