About

Ebika is a Senior Associate in our Litigation/Arbitration Practice Group and heads one of our Litigation Sub-Teams. She is experienced in providing legal and tax advisory services in various sectors of the economy.

She is regularly involved in disputes relating to employment and labour law, oil & gas, tort, matrimonial proceedings, taxation, enforcement of constitutional rights and general commercial law, and her advisory and advocacy expertise cover a wide spectrum of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Ebika’s comprehensive base of industry-sector experience enables her to perform key roles in some of our Firm’s most prominent matters, and her admirable zeal and proactive mindset in consistently proffering legal opinions and advice on a wide range of legal issues immensely contribute to our ability to exceed the expectations of our clients.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ebika worked in the dispute resolution group of another leading law firm in Nigeria where she garnered significant litigation experience.

  • Successful defence of a client in a N20 million fundamental rights action
  • Successful defence of a client in a lawsuit bordering on title to land
  • A lead member of the team that successfully defended Amni International Petroleum Development Company Limited in a multi-billion naira oil spill claim
  • A lead member of the team prosecuting a N1 billion claim bordering on defamation of a client
  • Defended a client in a N100 million dispute bordering on trespass to land
  • Representing Total E&P in an ongoing labour dispute at the National Industrial Court
  • Currently defending a major player in the construction sector of the economy in a N2.5 billion dispute bordering on negligence
  • Currently defending a major player in the construction sector of the economy in a claim for N54 million bordering on breach of contract
  • Representing clients in several cases involving recovery of debts arising from contractual/commercial relations, banking transactions, and property disputes
